Working at SMCC Construction India Ltd was a highly rewarding experience for me. during my time as a senior engineer, I contributed to several landmark projects in North & South states including a notable project at Sri City (THK). Etc. Initially, I thought industrial projects would be basic structures with only sheeting and PEB frames, but this project proved me wrong, we used imported materials from Japan for the interior works, and here we used precast columns giving the final output the quality of the project like IT Park. The company provided outstanding support to employees ensuring our welfare by offering accommodation, transport, and even a cook, which was a unique experience for me. SMCC also recognized my efforts with an appraisal with promotions and we successfully delivered the project on time for all the projects where I worked. my overall experience was excellent and I learned a lot during my tenure. If talking about dislikes, SMCC is not for skilled, talented Engineers, You have to execute what your 10th pass out boss or any boss whose previous experience in SMCC was as a Cook. Nothing new to learn, All industrial projects, they dont want to explore commercial projects or infra projects. Infact they are not capable of doing something else than Auto Inustry projects. Only Politics, If any Japanese likes any Cook or any chainman, He can become PM or Sr PM soon. Only In time is fix. 08:30am and there is no out time....Read More
