sudden decisions from higher management about product life and moving to different product, reducing the number of employees in the product Also I believe anywhere in any company, it all depends on your manager -- how they conduct the project and team

Nothing like good except the company stocks, which start getting credited after 12-15 month.I will say, it is only a single reason to work in broadcom.

There is a huge list of dislike but in shorts we can say it is not employee oriented company. Worst working culture, full of politics, legacy member don't allow to sustain trustful simple or technical strong new candidates. You will not found any strong profile guys in the company may be passed out from premier institute or worked with some tier A/B/C companies. That's why these legacy guys having their mindset that the candidates working in tier-A/B/C companies works only on tools and proprietary languages and not technical sound and they are doing something great. Any candidate joins from premier company/institute by default he/she will be treated like dump. Legacy people will push all tough task/non clear task to the weak or simple guy with very less time with expectation that it is very simple as legacy member not touching this painful work. And what will say about Mother favorite HR dept., actually they are not evolve in their core duty like hiring the candidate, They are mostly made for to write fake and positive reviews on social media. Making foolish company policies like how to force employees to work from office during the covid crisis. Who make them understand to these mother favorites HR that we are not in 21 centuries, and now IT/Non-IT companies are thinking for permanent WFH policy and these mother fav are making policies to maintain employee in and out time Here Managers are totally non-technical....Read More

Layoffs used to happen almost every quarter.This was almost 5 years back Not sure how it is now.

Except for money and stocks nothing is great, It's a graveyard for good companies to go down in history. Broadcom acquires great companies kill it's soul and gives them an unpleasant death.
