If you are recruited close to max pay grade limit for that position then you will be stuck there as promotion may take more than 4 years in certain teams. Strong budget cuts in learning & development for individuals in recent years. Highly unlikely for site visits, again due to budget cuts

The leadership team keeps changing the org structure every 2 years without thinking about the impact of it on the staff. No vision at all. Technical folks are treated like second class people since it’s oil and gas company. The leadership team keeps changing and so does their goals. They force people to do unnecessary training’s and certifications which are of no use in real life.
