Sandvik A good place to work on, keeps human valves on top of everything, cares about environment, health and safety. Training Limited to internal training, as budget is limited for external training and visiting sites where machine are working. Career Growth Based upon knowledge and level of responsibilities and adapt to new ways of working by supporting product unit, growth follows. Salary Not best in industry and not the least as well. Goes with percentile when compared with market. Join with good salary, otherwise forget it. Salary does not grow with designation/ grade (or level of responsibilities). Appraisal: Reasonably done. Politics: Sorry to say, I believe being done, particularly when it comes for salary review. Learning: As it comes under service center, work sometimes monotonous otherwise good. Work life Balance. It would be good, if Sandvik stick to promises made to employee, whoever reads this message, might think it is some rare cases. It can be true, but my personal experience for couple of times are not positive. Instead of taking actions (reacting) against an employee by only considering 3rd persons words are valid, it is better to call the employee and have an interaction to understand the actual case. This can have unfavorable effect on that employee, because he does not know for what reason the actions are taken against him....Read More
