Working at PayPal is okayish. Work was challenging. Did the best I could. A lot of things depends on your team. The team that I work is bad. So, my overall experience turned really bad.

Dislikes

Long working hours. Everything depends on team and managers. No good projects in my team. Very little innovation. Manager take credit of others work. Director and Management is useless. They have just been in PayPal for ages and have settled here. Absolutely no work satisfaction for me.

mainly work life balance and salary. Initially company provided many good benefits for employees but later some cheap employees doing cheap tricks then company started cost cutting. Otherwise, a very good organization. Only one bad thing is lay off's - not sure when they announce lay off

No job security. Frequent leadership change. No QA Team , Developer has to take their own responsibility to test their features and deploy in live. Previously work life balance is so goodbut now a days, support team is also getting removed and the developers are forced to do the oncall support along with the regular work even if you have concerns. It highly depend on team and manager under which you are working. Post covid, lot of layoff and restructuring has left the firm with only specific resources and management who see a growth and job security opportunity at the expense of team and their work life balance without providing much effort from their end

Paypal has terrible work life balance . Management shows no concern for employees well being, toxic culture. You can join for money but job security is non existent. Worst company to join.

No job security. You can be fired any time. Frequent reorgs happening. Frequent leadership changes. Existing engineering people don't share knowledge to new hires. No perks apart from salary.
