I served this Institute for a very short period after superannuation from the world-renowned Research Laboratory, CSIR-NPL New Delhi. It is also known as the Materials Research Institute and also known as National Metrology Institute (NMI). I worked there with Prof. & Dean (R&D). It was good for me as a retired person and there was no problem commuting to the Institute because of my own Infrastructure. The Institute is located on NH-1 with good and sufficient buildings for faculties and students. However, there was a lack of scientific infrastructure, and management was the least bothered to invest in R& D Activities. Hence the Institute is like a college to impart Engineering and Management Education. I could better education centre for just little modifications and changes....Read More

Dislikes

Lack of Scientific infrastructure and experienced faculties. The management was not confident to run a Scientific Institute. So, I lost my interest because of behaviour of management. They can admit the students without any academic calibre. The Scientific atmosphere is not good and the future of the faculties was not sure. I wantedto boost this institute to bring some Analytical equipment from my Laboratory on a gift basis to establish measurement facilities to give international exposure to the students. The management was impatient and could not judge my calibre and existence in the scientific community....Read More

Work Details

Teaching, general management of my areas and creating R& D Infrastructure. The teachers were mostly non-PhD so I initiated them for PhD Registration under my supervision but they were not aware of the CSIR-UGC and Lecturership Eligibility Examination

Work days: Monday to Friday (Strict Timings)

Work related travel: This is a desk job.
