Well all I can say is I still can work with Optum if given a chance and that sums it all

1) At times some managers would not walk their talk 2) at times some work mates would not to talk their heart out

I enjoyed my work with Optum . It is a good company and the environment is also great . Optum thinks about their employees very well. I'm thankful of the company for gave an opportunity to work with them.

Everything is good in optum but several things wasn't good in my Process(C&S).

No appraisal no hikes no promotion the management was not good they are not least bothered about their employees. Head office was in gurgaon but those people develop their self they will not give much importance to Hyderabad employees A part from IT sector if you randomly ask with any operational team you will get the same answer their is politics. The manager will change every year optum will provide a survey every year how the organisation is running for every employee but the manager will call us and they will take the control from us and fill the forms and give rating 5/5 for the organisation and for themself .If any onshore people is reading this please make this issue it's very bad for the organisation...Read More

Great work life balance, learning depends on team, job security is pretty good, salary & benefits are decent.

Dislikes

Promotion and growth aren't attractive enough. Being a healthcare company, they have lots of security policies which sometimes might restrict learning and exploration opportunities with new tech.

No promotions , increment is 5-8% yearly. Promotion is impossible. Everytime change of hierarchy. Not stable. Work life balance is impossible if the manager is from India.

Nothing for now. Last year it is used to be one of the best organisation. When it is used to be Episource. Now after Optum acquiring it becomes worst.

Extreme work pressure with no target consideration. Unrealistic target expectations. Rude behaviour of TL's. Working for more than 8,9 hours ended up to get marked as halfday . No work life balance. Even after having flexi hours for login. Managers constantly ask employees to login before 9am.

Working atmosphere is good and there is no frequent change in project, which helps to know the project and get stable in quality and production

I was forced to WTO despite my medical and family conditions. And when i asked to extend WFH i was asked to resign then management made me do it forcefully.
