Do all the negotiation you can on the CTC before getting hired because you are entering into a different world altogether. Make sure to factor in the possibility of working 6 days(sometimes 7) a week instead of normal 5 days.

Dislikes

1. Monday to Saturday (and more than you can imagine Sundays) working with meetings starting from 10 AM and going as late as 11 PM. 2. Recognition of work is limited to employees who have moved from Ola group to Ola electric. No incentive or recognition for new joiners. 3. Ever changing goals from higher management makes it extremely tough for sticking to a particular plan. Initially the idea was to enter in energy as a service mode which has now changed to manufacturing. Much talked eScooter is not even their original idea, they have the "inspiration" from etergo. 4. Looking at the plans made in last two years, the team has worked on revenue model from eScooter to eHovercrafts (I am not kidding here, it has actually been thought of). Of course, nobody looks it from customer perspective. 5. Attrition rate is close to 60% and if you stay for like a year or so, you can see the entire team getting replaced and getting built from scratch. Levels such as senior manager and above have high attrition; several Associate Directors, Directors, Presidents and Consultants have left after realizing how ridiculous the execution and planning have been for the entire project. 6. These guys have excellent contact with marketing management firms who takes care of all the promotions and the paid-news content. 7. The stories you hear that people got sick and were hospitalized during work hours due to work pressure and anxiety, they are all true indeed. 8. I am pretty sure you would be tempted to accept an offer from this company thinking electric is the future and it's good to come and work for a brand like Ola, trust me we have all fallen for the exact same idea. Think twice before accepting the offer and join only if you have nowhere else to go....Read More
