Disappointing Interview Experience with D.E. Shaw

I recently interviewed with D.E. Shaw, and it turned out to be one of the most draining experiences I’ve had. The interviewer’s approach felt unnecessarily harsh and dismissive, which made the entire process uncomfortable. At multiple points, the interviewer asked me to drop off the call, even when I tried asking basic questions about the designation, job description, and other details. After the interview, I found myself sitting there for a few minutes, trying to process what just happened. It left me questioning the overall tone and professionalism of the interview. Definitely not the experience I was expecting from such a well-known firm.

There is nothing in this company to like

One of the worst CRO in India. If you work here and want to change job later, your experience is not counted. The culture is pathetic. Only selected few peoples are getting good increment and bonus. If you are working in Syngene/Aragen/Sai/Aurigene/Jubilant/TCG/Piramal etc and want to come here in NJBIO, it's your biggest mistake inyour life and you will cry. The rent of house around NJBIO is very high for e.g. 1BHK will be 40,000/- per month and you will have to pay two months' rent brokerage (Rs80,000/-). After one year broker will again ask for brokerage for renewal. If you refuse to pay brokerage, they will through you out of home. If you want to stay in cheaper house you will have to travel in local, which is nightmare. The schools' fees in ordinary school will be 2,00,000/- per year and other things will be extra for e.g. bus, dress, stationary......Read More

My profile was shortlisted and get a call for telephonic interview and HR are getting details n interview good they are told u will receive call some days ur profile have been selected but after some time they have get there refrences candidate and HR are market not shortlisted my profile because there was company politics The company is very wrost not hr are not respect to candidate feeling they have get select n after politics they are mark not selected please don't go for interview in this company not good behaviour n not give aspect salary vary much pressure n wrost language use don't go for this...Read More
