Likes

It is basically a coaching institute famous for pre medical preperation in Kanpur. I've worked here as a foundation batch biology teacher. Work atmosphere over here is very efficient. Co-teacher and management here are very cooperative . Infrastructure of the institute is average.

Dislikes

Sometimes to cover the course of students i had to take extra classes in weekends too . So overall curriculum of the week become a bit hectic.

Work Details

I was teaching biology to the foundation batch . I'd to do 6 to 7 hrs work per day which include 4 hrs lecture time and rest 2 to 3 hrs for content writing for the particular subject.

Work days: Monday to Saturday (Flexible Timings)

Work related travel: This is a desk job.

Disappointing Interview Experience with D.E. Shaw

I recently interviewed with D.E. Shaw, and it turned out to be one of the most draining experiences I’ve had. The interviewer’s approach felt unnecessarily harsh and dismissive, which made the entire process uncomfortable. At multiple points, the interviewer asked me to drop off the call, even when I tried asking basic questions about the designation, job description, and other details. After the interview, I found myself sitting there for a few minutes, trying to process what just happened. It left me questioning the overall tone and professionalism of the interview. Definitely not the experience I was expecting from such a well-known firm.
