If you're considering joining NPCI as an off-role employee, I would strongly advise against it. There is a stark difference in how on-role and off-role employees are treated—off-role employees receive no perks, no benefits, and very limited growth opportunities. The culture does not foster inclusivity, making off-role employees feelundervalued and replaceable. One of the biggest drawbacks is that NPCI prioritizes qualifications over actual skills and capabilities. Hard work and expertise often go unnoticed if you don’t have the "right" degree or certification. This creates an environment where talented individuals struggle to progress while those with preferred qualifications get ahead, regardless of competence.
