I was proud to tell that I am a meeshoite till April 8. I got call from HR to inform me that I was layoffed. This is how meesho helped me through my covid lock down situation. But yes they gave me 3 months salary. Sorry to say job was what we needed more than money.

Dislikes

Every thing was fine in meesho except job security. Its all about trust which meesho failed to build with its layoffed employees.

There is a lot of politics. CTO has his favourite 5 folks who dictate the future of everyone and they keep getting promoted every year. No clear career growth, until you become smoke buddies with CTO. Product team ha reached it’s max limit of copying from other companies so basically no new projects, just KTLO

Bad work-life balance, There is no SOP for any particular task. You have to approach so many people/stake holders for a simple task to be done, which will take a longer period of time than usual. Seniors, even managers are not supportive

The worst part is point number one seniors are very toxic. Nobody is going to help you here. Zero work life balance. I go to the office at 10:30 AM morning and I come at night 9 PM some regularly. That’s how the work culture is here and it’s very normal to work that that period of time plus you have to take your all your blames, so it’s not very good place to work for. Very poor job security- teams get dissolved at will, people promoted in previous cycle asked to leave in the next cycle. Culture has drastically nosedived- all driven by whatever CEO says, no one in the leadership team has a voice. CEO has unrealistic expectations which no one can fulfil. All great leaders bar 1-2 have moved on in the last 2-3 years.
