Media.net uses office space of Directi hence provides good infra & facilities. Spacious office, snacks, juices, subsidized meals, car parking, reserved parking for pregnant women. Perks like pool table, carrom, fussball, TT. Canteen is well managed.
To start with, new joinees have induction, freshers have training too. But that dst align them with the product team they eventually end up working for. Once on a team learning is bad, as most of their products are low-hanging-fruits, as they call it, and are built in ad-hoc way. So ofcourse no training or KT material,just verbal. Career growth is NIL in anything other than Tech. Even in Tech, its full of politics and even worse for women leaders as male chauvinism is predominant and the culture of the org. Some opportunistic ambitious women have resorted to cheap ways of getting noticed in the senior management. Its worse as it creates even more unhealthy environment for other genuine women to grow. They barely have any women leaders except in HR. Work-life balance is terrible for some verticals in the company. So its all a matter of luck which vertical and manager one ends up with and the career can go straight south if otherwise. Appraisals are said to be above average but again it depends on your manager and how much you can bootlick. If you cant keep pace with the politics (thats way beyond healthy politics levels) even a 4% raise is a wow. Senior Executives are mostly from Tech background without any good management training. Naturally, they are autocratic, they can toy around with careers of their team members and ruin their careers. HRs only appear for planning fun events for PR. They have no check or control over the autocratic managers-who can skip raise, demote, transfer ppl around without any HR process, make cheap personal remarks and bully members without HR ever checkin the health of the teams. An orgs culture is top-down. Ethical business owners build ethical organizations and that culture flows down to all levels. The above issues are observed upto top levels of management till vertical heads. Employees get framed and asked to leave if issues are raised. So HRs have accepted d way.
