McDermott is a very good EPC and learning is infinite. But Chennai office is one of the worst office to work with. Compensation is not having a proper slab neither market based. Whatever HOD feels like recommending that ll be your pay. Work life balance is like dinosaurs(extinct), project management team makes you work for more than10-11 hours a day and bloody leads don’t have the guts to deny. They dance to everyone’s tune to retain their jobs, finally individuals work for 10-11 hours to end up being fired from the company. Fortunately I never faced retrenchment in the company, I loved the work but not the culture. I always feel ashamed to talk bad about the company that I worked for. But this office deserves very poor rating. People are toxic and culture is toxic. If u just love your job, you can sustain for 3-5 years. Otherwise you ll become a crap which people employed with MCD are already. Some provision like fees for kids, parents included in medical insurance are very important things to be highlighted. I have the following offers: 1. Exl - 24 lpa fixed + 12% variable + 2 lakhs joining bonus Position - manager 2. Infinite computer solutions - 30 lpa fixed 3. proper 9 to 5.30 job cycle if you have a good understanding with your team lead and job security is better compared to other similar companies. Taking leaves is not a headache and is generally easily approved if planned.
