Job security is good for operation band as well as manager band. However, for HOD level, it is not so. If they are not doing exactly as expected by higher management, they won't be fired, but indirectly they will know they are no longer wanted.

Dislikes

There will be no work life balance. Focus is on quantity rather than quality. No time for upskilling. Also, if you are not a local, your chances of promotion are slim at best. The number of leaves and medical allowance has also been reduced as cost cutting measures imposed during peak covid.

I got an offer from both the companies, manager role. Flipkart’s offer: fixed (x) + variable pay + stock Deloitte’s offer: fixed (x+1) + variable + 1.5L joining bonus Variable pay % is the same. Flipkart is offering a sizeable huge chunk in stock. What should I consider apart from compensation? Annual hikes, WLB, work culture, etc? (Note that It’s a non IT role)
