The quality of work at this company is below standard and Job security is not guaranteed regardless of tenure or position I.e HOD. The managers are well connected individuals resulting in negative political environment and mgrs are outdated individuals which can't get job in outside world. So let me get this straight. Right now everyone in Macquarie is being recruited from HSBC. So the recruitment itself comes across as fixed before hand with ex-HSBC Senior leadership only hiring their ex-HSBC colleagues, ie their own kith and kin. Same goes for Promotion and Ratings. Macquarie was totally different just 6 years ago, merit used to appreciated but now it's exact opposite. Don't bother applying for this company if you are meritorious, high performer.
