Worst place to work for on earth. They exploit candidates to the hilt, harass them.
Dislikes
They deduct employees' salaries for no reason. Every month one has to go and ask for their hard earned full salary but nothing happens. Unprofessionalism, employees exploitation can be experienced all across this place.

Beside CSE there is no salary regulations followed in other departments. There is a clear cut discrimination between Punjabi and Non-Punjabi employees. Non talented and non deserving people are at higher position and they are dictators of LPU. They never respect honest, hardworking and talented people. The situation is worsening since COVID time. Employees were not paid to even sustain their two times food for their families. Assistant professor were paid 3000 to 6000 ₹ only during COVID while LPU got full fees from students. Higher authority said that during COVID there are no Kiosks and Hostels are operational so all faculties and staffs will not get full salary. Most of top position holders in LPU are characterless, they treat women staffs as their targets for harrasment, physical abuses, when a female staff oppose such favours to top position holders in LPU then such staffs are being fired without any reason. Research targets are unrealistic for most of the faculties, recently within a week two patent ideas have to submitted by every faculty member. HR head and IQAC head is making fool to employees when they ask about salary structure, increment and appraisal. This year LPU admission number fall drastically because Division of Admissions are full of corrupt and characterless people, they only crush the talents. One of the faculty who was PhD and Postdoc from NUS Singapore was given a task to paste the address of students for sending admission booklets at student's address. No one in LPU is allowed to say any positive things to concerned authorities. Chancellor and Pro chancellor are not approachable for faculties and staffs, they only call staffs to fire from LPU. Recently 15 employees have been fired from LPU, most of them served in LPU more than 10+ years.
In the Division of Academic Affairs LPU to evaluate teaching faculty high pressure is given to concerned by Head of division who is a characterless, he treats women as a entertainment material, you all will be surprised to know that HR of LPU know it very well, no action is taken against them for their such misbehaviour because they are at top position holders in LPU.
Increment and appraisal cycle is not fixed and fully biased.
So for employees nothing is favourable, everyone is doing work to sustain their families needs....Read More

Horrible Place to work. It's not a university but just a business revenue generated model from students fees. As per Clause 15, the teaching duty for Assistant Professors is 16 hours direct teaching. But here at Lovely Professional University, it's 22-hour weekly teaching load, that is 6 hours more than the guidelines and is unethical. They don't follow any UGC guideline nor any government norms. People don't respect you here. The lack of respect from HR and staff is appalling. Teaching subjects are assigned outside of one's specialisation and from different domains. There is no time provided for proper research or preparation. The moment you have 1-2 hour in your regular shift duty, it's filled with examination duties which are mandatory. You can't even take a leave of you are assigned with some examination duties. The micro management has been increased exponentially which feels more than a workplace harrasment. They leave no space for creativity, nor self learning, not preparing for a class or nor academic growth in teaching. Their leave policy is a joke, offering just 8 days of casual or sick leave per semester. They give only 1 month of maternity leave which is highly unethical. The HR resignation policy is a complete trap, cleverly worded to give a compensatory amount. They have 2 months of notice period, but that's a joke. No relief will be provided unless you complete the teaching duty till the last teaching day of the semester, else you have to pay 3-4 months of salary amount as a compensation. They also keep original 10th and Degree Certificate as a security which is another trap. I have never seen any organization keeping the original documents. This trap is preventing us from leaving the institute for better opportunities. You can't apply resignation on January, February or July, August as you have to pay 3-4 months salary as a compensation amount which is addition to the get relieved from last teaching day. So their is different policy for applying resignation in teaching and non teaching period. They are running this corporate factory with highly understaffed workforce. With only about 2500 faculty members for 60-70 thousand students, everyone is overworked beyond human capacity to meet unrealistic targets. We even don't have a dedicated lunch break in our timetable. We have to find some time between the classes to have some food. This toxic environment is stifling and far from conducive to any form of professional satisfaction or personal well-being. There is no flexiblity in your pedagogy if teaching. If you work here for more than 4-5 years then you will be having High blood pressure, stress, anxiety and hypertension for sure due to their unethical policies and you can do nothing about it....Read More

Work is terrible. Monday - Saturday 9-5 shift. Only 8 leaves in a semester of 6 months. There are policies that are beyond the relam of any logic. Everything is connected to financial deduction e.g. one can't have breakfast during 9-10 (half day salary cut), if chancellor's meeting going on you can't leave even it goes after 5 pm (after your shift, guards shut the door so you don't have any option but to stay because you can't fight with the guards) otherwise your salary will be deducted. Other than this, at the time of your joining your original certificate of highest qualification will be submitted there and 15% of your salary will be deducted till 13 months (2 months salary will be deposited there) so after this you are not able to leave the organisation because your documents and money are kept. You can only resign in the month of March & October after serving 1/1.5 months of notice period, if you think to resign any other month of the year you will have to give double salary to them then only you can leave. There is a department named DQA (Department of quality assurance) they go to room to room check if you are well dressed, wearing the I'd card all the time or not they even open your cabin's drawer (this is insult for a faculty) and check and if there is something wrong your salary will be deducted.
