1. Teammates - Friendly and helpful 2. Training - Excellent 3. Job security - Good 4. Career growth - It is still a budding company, but any employee would grow as the company grows 5. Salary - Reasonable 6. Travel - Depends on which department. Some don't have to travel at all, while o thers travel once or twice a month 7. Politics - Practically non-existent 8. Learning - I have learned a lot on the job here, and the other employees are always ready to help you with your queries and concerns 9. Work environment - Friendly 10. Innovation - This is an ed-tech company, so innovation is a byword 12. Work-life balance - It is up to each employee to build one for themselves over the weekend (5-day working week)...Read More

Got Rejected In an Interview, Just Because I Didn’t Answer a Personal Question

So, I got invited for this interview, and they told me to be there at 9 AM. Of course, I get there early, like 8:30, because I don't want to be late. But then I end up waiting for 1.5 hours. Seriously, they didn't even acknowledge me until 10. Then this HR lady calls me in, and she's totally unprofessional. She's like, on her phone, making personal calls while I'm sitting right there. And then she starts asking me these really weird questions, like what my nickname is, and what my dad does for a living. It got really uncomfortable when she started pressing for details about where my dad works. I mean, what does that have to do with anything? So I politely told her I didn't want to answer, and she actually said, "Then we can't continue this interview." I was honestly shocked. But instead of arguing, I just stood up and said, “Alright then.” And walked out. I left feeling pissed. Not only did they waste an hour of my time, but the HR rep was also rude and unprofessional..
