Job security and learning. One of the best thing about L&T. Some benefits also good but for some senior tiers.

Dislikes

Obsolete policies, work culture, no stability in work location, semi govt type (either completely idle sitting or fully overload) Poor appraisals. I was top performer with rating (7 out of 8) still got 3% hike. Some Managers are heartless.

Biased Rating. Management is not ready to hear engineer level cadre employees, they won't even get the respect that GET gets here. Always favoring leads, group managers and their foolishness. Those who work hard won't get respect, although it's a universal thing, L&T has no system to organize this thing. Completely relying on manager s biased rating. People are leaving in bunches and without taking any action, they are taking only feedbacks....Read More

Freedom to work in complex onshore hydrocarbon projects, worldwide. Job security, training and on job skill development.

Archaic policies which aren’t employee friendly (eg: Retention pay, sandwich rule, Saturday working etc.). All decision making has to happen through Corporate HR, hence it’s too slow or not consistent with the need of a particular division. Salaries are low. The company prioritizes giving dividend to share holders rather than complet e bonuses to loyal employees (Covid). Working in challenging schedules which give poor work life balance. Low basic pay, thus poor retirement benefits. Hence, we are unable to retain employees and our inability to replace them with equatable talent, further compromises the work culture....Read More
