Working at Kanz Jewels, Dubai, was a deeply disappointing and stressful experience. The company operates in a way that feels like a trap. Upon joining, they confiscate your documents, leaving you with little control over your situation. The working hours are extremely grueling, often stretching to 13–14 hours a day, and the treatment is nothing short of abusive. Employees are subjected to constant pressure, creating a toxic work environment that feels more like a prison than a workplace. Job security is virtually non-existent. As the business involves handling gold, employees are held accountable for any losses, damages, or shortages—even if these issues are beyond their control. This means you might end up paying for thefts or discrepancies that aren’t your fault. When it comes to resigning, things get even worse. While UAE labor laws allow resignation after six months, Kanz Jewels demands employees pay the equivalent of four months' salary (around 6,500 AED) to leave. This is enforced by pressuring employees who have signed their terms and conditions, regardless of legal rights. For anyone considering working here, my advice is simple: don’t.
