Only the students made my days interesting.

There is a clear divide between people who get UGC scales of pay and those who get below Rs 10000 a month. Even the invigilation duty, which the UGC-approved lecturers ought to do, is assigned to temporary lecturers, who are "terminated" every March and re-employed every June! Apart from this, there is too much gossip and negativity in the Staff Room.
Work Details
I was handling Economics for BBM, BA Tourism, B Com, BA, PUC 1 and 2. That makes 10x 4 = 40 classes a week. The classes usually had 80 to 100 students. The workload by any standard was heavy. Added to this were projects, assignments, and presentations.
