- ICAR provides a great opportunity to connect with the best researchers in the field of agriculture in India. - ICAR also provides wide-ranging research facilities in all it's institutes, including arable fields mimicking different soil conditions and climate, well-equipped laboratories, high-speed internet facilities and a research-conducive work environment. -There is a good work-life balance in all ICAR institutes. ICAR is very particular about its office timings being 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. -Staff members are largely supportive and open to suggestions and modifications that lead to better results. -The organisation along with the institutes under its umbrella provide ample scope and opportunities for collaboration and brainstorming ideas for ensuring food security for the future....Read More

Dislikes

Frankly, there is not much to dislike about working in ICAR. If we are nit-picking then -The salary structures between contractual and tenured individuals for similar work profiles is a little disproportionate and do need to be looked into. - The project leads' intense focus on work and research sometimes creates insensitivity towards the lower level workers and their professional obligations.
