Job Security- Performance matters, if you perform poorly, you will perish anywhere. Hindalco is no different. Work Culture- Poor working culture. They will surely organize training programs for employees, but are absolutely ignorant when it comes to applying the learning at workplace. Management- Managers and Management have total disregard wrt work environment. I worked with a HOD who said he doesn't give a shit how the environment is and only needs performance. Managers have no clue what the are company's future goals. No tangible learning from managers, they are simply busy in convincing the upper management that they are working. This is true for all levels, everyone wants to look busy rather than doing something tangible. Company Policies- They do preach meritocracy but its totally contrast when it comes to promotion. If you are mediocre or average performer, but have a godfather who is working at a senior position, there are good chances that you will get promoted/heavy increments rather that someone who has slogged his a** round the year....Read More

I had a terrible experience with Hindalco. Its a good company for someone who wants to settle down early in life. But is absolutely horrible otherwise. Working culture, policies, management, managers- Terrible.

Dislikes

Lot of politics and Learning opportunity is less keeping in mind changing world of manufacturing. Also career growth is slow.
