Likes

The open culture and freedom to take up any stream of your interest. The other good part is that failure after a genuine and sincere effort is acceptable. Also, the team here is a group of smart and highly educated individuals, who motivate you to excel and always available to help. This is unique.

Dislikes

The pace at which the company is growing, there are somethings for which some processes are to be created. As of now these things are WIP.

Work Details

The work could be as hectic as I want to be. Also I can switch gears. Sometimes, if I feel to take it slow I can do that, and If I want to try things, I can get as occupied as anything.

Work days: Monday to Friday (Flexible Timings)

Work related travel: This is a desk job.

Seeking advice on current job

Current Job Situation: I’ve been working at TCS for over 2.5 years, with a total experience of 4.5 years. My salary is 9.6 LPA, and I work with technologies like Casper framework, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSP, Java, PL/SQL, and JBoss. While I have good job security and flexibility, I feel like I’m working with outdated technologies and have a lot of leisure time, which is affecting my motivation. Concerns: 1. Outdated Tech: I’m worried that working with older tech will limit future opportunities. Should I stay or move to a role with newer technologies? 2. Salary: Is my current package competitive for my experience? What salary should I aim for if I switch? Seeking Advice: What modern technologies should I learn to stay relevant?
