Quality of code is high. People have high intellect. DevOps product so opportunity to learn about various things. They promote you if you put in the effort.

Salary - Good

Dislikes

No job security. They are laying off many people. Work life balance is very poor. Expect to work on weekends. They give 1 Friday in 1 month as holiday but you will work on that day due to high pressure and tight deadlines. Expectations are huge. You will feel mental torture from managers. You might be working 12 hours everyday to meet their expectations and it still won't be enough. Managers are in full power, their word is law. If you give accurate estimate of X days, then they try to lower it and question your abilities that it is not that much effort. Egoistic nature of some senior developers. They give you joining bonus, retention bonus but it is nothing but a trap. They can fire you in 6 months and you will have to return that amount to them. Your 6 months of effort is wasted since you will lose joining bonus and performance bonus. Poor place to work overall....Read More

Disappointing Interview Experience with D.E. Shaw

I recently interviewed with D.E. Shaw, and it turned out to be one of the most draining experiences I’ve had. The interviewer’s approach felt unnecessarily harsh and dismissive, which made the entire process uncomfortable. At multiple points, the interviewer asked me to drop off the call, even when I tried asking basic questions about the designation, job description, and other details. After the interview, I found myself sitting there for a few minutes, trying to process what just happened. It left me questioning the overall tone and professionalism of the interview. Definitely not the experience I was expecting from such a well-known firm.
