My name is Mark Reuben. I’ve been at grand Haytt as a trainee. For about 6 months. I’ve always felt like an employee. The best part is I’ve felt like an employee and a student at the same time. I felt like an employee because I got the respect of an employee. No one made me feel low. And I felt like a student because everyone I meaneach and everyone of the employees thought me something. I’m honoured that I could pass the interview for the industrial training program at Grand Haytt Goa and spent those valuable 6 months. At the bakery when I was working. And I’m saying this from the heart. The executive bakery chef made me feel like dirt. In front of me, he gave a girl an off day. And made me do an 18 hour shift For a banquet when I told him chef please I already did a 16 hour shift yesterday this was just to spite me . But then I purposely took a day off the next day. Because I couldn’t handle it. And the next day he told me I’m going to terminate your internship, I begged him not to, I told him my whole year would get ruined. He was like it’s not my problem and he laughed. He literally laughed. But then I asked fatima ma’am and she just told me it’s okay u join the pool bar. And it was a relief. He was shocked later when he saw me at the pool bar. But then from the time I joined pool bar I’ve have lots of chefs there who I loved and who I believe liked me too....Read More

I struggled at the beginning but at the end it was the most happiest days of my life. I was having a blast. Thanks to all my mentors and farheen ma’am.
