There is lot of security in job ,so it you do not gel well with the head or colleagues , you can easily mind your own business and continue your job .The salaries are the best ones and mostly one works with children and adolescents. Government gives opportunities to grow also and lots of activities are around , if you want variety ;like annual function , sports day etc ...

Dislikes

Early mornings as a teacher can become stressful . The infrastructure of majority of the schools is not up to date . As a teacher one has to carry one' s own water, food etc. as decent water coolers are not available in all schools . The heads are mostly promoted and may not show leadership qualities so the staff management is difficult . Further a head of the school does not have a secretary or private assistant for many administrative works, which she has to ask teachers to do , who then seek favours or miss classes . All the work is online and the computer operator is not efficient . It leads to sychophancy and efficient teachers feel unappreciated . Majorly the workload of inefficient people had to be carried by efficient ones , at times . Because of job security and timely promotions , work takes a back seat and teachers in staff room are found cursing govt policies instead of pulling up their socks and working . Many will find excuse in finding faults in students , as they are powerless in front of them . Overall the workculture is anti productive. A lot depends on Principal's Personality, who get transferred frequently so team work suffers as team keeps changing ....Read More

Work Details

I used to work as senior teacher of English , teaching English to class 11th and 12 th . I was admission in-charge of class 11 th and CBSE examination incharge also. I took part in many cultural activities too.

Work days: Monday to Saturday (Strict Timings)
