I have been working at Godot Media for over 2 years as a Content Writer. The team is extremely pleasant and easy to work with - polite, amicable environment. The work process is pretty standard and consistent. You are allocated tasks/activities that are only yours to handle. The instructions given from clients, project managers etc. is also direct and easy to understand. During my time working here, I have not had any issues with any colleague or team member - team building and bonding is pretty strong at Godot so if that is something you are looking for in a company, this is the place for you! Being a flat structure organization, you get to work and be in communication directly with the top level, which is a great learning opportunity, and this structure also helps you grow as you can dive into different types of projects....Read More

I guess the only thing I can say is that during peak order months, it can get a bit challenging to manage writing for multiple projects - but nothing that isn't manageable or impossible. You might get tired but isn't that part of any job?

The role offers a lot of flexibility. Work from home was an option even before the pandemic, so you can work from anywhere as long as you've got a good internet connection. You get to work on articles covering a variety of topic areas. This exposes you to new information, some of which is really interesting. Even for the informationthat isn't too interesting, you're at least learning something new and it's a mentally stimulating role. It can be a little challenging at times working with tight deadlines, but this gets easier with time and experience.

The company is very accommodating of employees' needs. Leaves are granted without question. Work from home option available.

Dislikes

Lack of communication, especially from top to bottom. No written policies about leave, deadlines, work hours etc. seem to exist. Rules keep changing now and then. Work from home employees are kept in the dark about most things. Flexibility is promised, but rarely offered. I was hired saying I would be given 24 hours to complete daily assignments. Poor guidance to newbies or say, anyone uninformed WFH writers Unprofessional non-responsive team leads Only negative comments sent, no positive feedback on any work Work deligated irrespective of the education or exp background, If you are from a technical background and you are given a medical topic, hook or crook, you must write no benefits of any kind writers are never in the loop about anything, they are just people who sit at home to earn some pocket money, whom these people can boss over. They are not involved in anything like team outing or even informed of any changes that have happened in the company. Team lead opinion is always right, if the team lead is non-responsive, they are busy. If writers are non-responsive, they are arrogant This company is run by kids who don't know what professionalism means. The management structure looks flat, but it isn't. Some of them want to show that they are the boss. They are extremely rude, arrogant, and demanding. They do not respect others as colleagues....Read More

The only thing I liked about working here was being able to leave office for the day at 5:30, if I had finished all my work by that time. A group of good people who worked with me also made the job bearable.

Dislikes

It's a flat organisation where your career growth will stagnate in about a year or and a half. The salary is poor and appraisal system is a joke. The bosses are very mean and don't hesitate in letting anyone who asks for a raise go. I also know of colleagues who have worked there for two or three years without a single raise. Some left in despair. Exit from the company is as unceremonious as it can be, with the bosses threating you with negative consequences if you share the information of your leaving the company with anyone until your very last day at work. They don't provide references to employees who quit as well. So if your next job needs one, you're on your own. You'll be punished for being good at what you do by having difficult work dumped on your head without any significant difference in compensation. There's a lot of favouritism at play as well and the situation has gotten outright toxic now that the bosses handle the business from overseas. Certain employees are now the "eyes and ears" of the bosses and they misuse the position with much fun. Avoid the place. Please. The work is super hectic if you're good at your job. They take any type of project, including homeworks of spoilt US kids, PhD theses, or making up new nursery rhymes; I've done it all. Would have been worth it if the compensation was good. But it wasn't.
