Good work life balance but majorly depends on project and your team. You can raise your voice with your leads or manager is you’re not happy with work sometimes it work and sometimes don’t. People are very supportive in your emergency situation. Growth wise it’s good and you can up-skill yourself given you really want to.

Projects Learning and upskilling flexible chill company good office office lunch is very good.
Deepanjan datta is a ch*tiya, he needs to be fired. he will call you as if he owns fractal, Fractal is not his company to run slavery here. His middle name is snake: Deepanjan Snake Datta. He will micromanage and call you early morning or late evenings( post 9 - 10 Pm). he will call with reasons on sick leave as well. C*nt. He is negative about Clients, his team, Directors, EM's. in his world everybody is bad bad, and only he good good. He will go to any extent if you do not answer his calls during off work hours. he will systematically raise false escalations and target you. A true leader takes blame on himself, but snakes blame others for their inability to handle things. Do not work with this C**tiya ever, do not accept projects from him, he has zero people management and managerial skills, always looking to blame others and always negative about everyone, very toxic and manipulative, instead of doing the job he will spend time validating what you are saying with clients as well, he will not join standups and spend time talking to multiple people at client office to understand what was said in standups and we have to update him about our interaction with client in these standups, and he will validate that with three others from client office, how much time should one have to be this petty and wasting resources like this in clients office? HC team will not take any complaints against these guys, its always labelled as employee-manager alignment issues and they will close it with bad remarks on employee. Some consulting and Sales team members don't have any idea about project requirements, they just want to close the billing and make their sales targets, in this process they will say whatever to get you onboarded and when you join, the tech stack and requirements are different and they will force you to work on the project, minimum time is 6 months and 2 months of notice to switch project. consultants, account managers, lead architects and few EM's all their roles are not meaningful in fractal. all are just blabbering for hours in meetings and not getting any work done. these roles have no future, Fractal needs strong HC team who is technically strong and represent employee advocacy. that will bring balance to the shit storm that goes on here in some project environments, it all comes down to shit people like Mr Snake. who the F gives consultants power to allocate and onboard people to projects when they don't even know/understand the required tech stack. Anyone can be EM, Lead architect here, with such designations all they are is just MBA with no proper skills to be in that position. these people need to have both tech and people skills. Fire Consultants, EM's, Account Managers, Human capital teams, and keep just one team who is technically sound and have excellent people management skills. please create some meaningful roles, recruit and constantly train them and evaluate them on leadership skills. the current EPR process is fake, it is often misused by snakes to bring you down, you cannot call out bad managers, here employees voice is ignored. some snakes are always frustrated and they take it out on employees, targeting, insulting, criticizing them, and use their grade/status to spoil your name and give false negative feedback and HC team will go with whatever they say. there is literally no way to fight, Fractal says they are inclusive, diverse, transparent etc etc in business outlook, but in reality its not, employees are mistreated and HC ignores it and takes no action, if you think about it its these superiors who are not trained to handle teams. all the causes for issues in projects mostly come from an ineffective leader and some consultants who give you false information and allocate you to projects, later when things are bad they blame the employee rather than accepting their screw ups. An employee can lose motivation but still have to work 10 + hours sometimes, but these snakes are chill and manage their work life balance very well but they make us work for long hours. Not a lot if you are a software engineer. This is a good company for consulatnts, data scientists and incompetent managers who want to just chill.
Pretentious company with loads of talk around work culture, but its all on paper. If you are a passionate software engineer who likes to solve problems, you would not enjoy it here. Since, most client projects have a short duration, it is highly likely that you would not learn a lot and improve the product. Also, there is no mentorship culture here, no proper tech leads in any team. Project managers are completely useless and have no skill apart from playing the politics game. Also, Fractal creates accelerators instead of products which in simple term means create half-done products within a few months and not improve upon it later.
