If you wanna be a part of a clueless company, this is the one.

I'm writing this with the intention of helping jobseekers, especially fresh college grads to make the right decision. This is my personal experience with the company. When I joined, I was the only experienced professional among the new hires, with everyone else being fresh college grads. The company's strength was under 10 employees.
These are the company's redflags:
1. Not sticking to their words- They said upon joining I'll be under a probation period of 15 days with 5 days of training from an industry expert. But that didn't happen. All I got was a couple of group training sessions with very less relevance to my job role (PR) and one personal training session upon request.
2. Not sticking to dates- the offer letter they issued had a particular start date, but they started the probation at a much later period (about 18 days later) at their own convenience.
3. Sugar coating jobs with fancy names- this is a scam that happens in quite some places. They give you a fancy job role but the actual job you do does not align your aspirations. I was basically required to cold call and outreach schools- a job of a sales executive sugar coated as PR Manager.
4. Very bad culture- Their HR (basically a fresh B.com grad) didn't have basic manners. She would call me up at untime hours and demand a call back. Her language was too bossy and lacked professionalism. When I reported this to one of the founders, they just admitted the mistake but didn't care to fix it. Even big companies like Amazon with lakhs of employees are sensitive to individual employee experience.
5. Probationary salary denied- Ultimately, they just dismissed my probationary salary by citing a "clause" in their offer letter which says that salary imbursement is solely under company's discretion. They said they weren't satisfied with my work and denied my salary. Probations are meant to assess a candidate and their promised salary must be paid, no matter what. I've spent about a month trying to get them leads, calling up individual schools from my own personal number- everything in vain.
6. Zero professionalism- Once they decide they don't want you, they don't care to send you even a relieving letter. All I got was a 4 line email from the founder which was absolutely crass and lacked both friendliness and professionalism.
Closing remarks: Please research about a company's culture before joining. Do not fall for fancy job role names and salary....Read More
