Apathetic and Unacceptable Colleague and Management Behaviour

I worked at Euroschool, Whitefield for a month and couldn't work there anymore due to the inappropriate behaviour by one of my coordinators and the principal. Although, my reporting authority was the Vice Principal, who was the only sensible faculty members in the school, I believe, the principal and various other colleagues that I worked with, not only actively participated in defaming employees but also blurred the boundaries of responsibilities between teaching and non-teaching faculty. Questions and logical questions were highly discouraged and the experience was not short of modern-day slavery. The teaching faculty are expected to devote 100 per cent of our lives to just completing unnecessary school work leaving us with no work-life balance and perhaps absolutely no time for our own families. After I resigned, the principal also defamed me to another employee for no logical reason and never explained herself when this was addressed. There is a lack of empathy and understanding from the coordinator and the principal when it comes to just getting to know your employees or perceiving the troubles faced by them. Although, there were times when I had addressed a few legit inappropriate circumstances that the coordinator had put us through, with the principal, there was no action taken, which only goes to say that the amount of dirty politics being played by the employees and the management is far beyond one's ability to even work with a clear headspace. There are multiple taunts, sarcastic comments by the Coordinator and it is still expected of us to "un-bother_ ourselves and smile at our children which becomes a harder task, given the unnecessary work pressure. The only positive thing working here was that it was an educational institute. I got to learn many things including filling affiliations for ICSE.

Dislikes

No HR policies. The working hours and days for admin department was completely depended on the mood of the principal. We have worked for 18 days straight without comp off and pay cuts. The school withhold personal documents even after leaving the job.

The work culture was not at all healthy as per my opinion.

We have worked 18 straight days without comp off and pay cut. Sometimes there were no holidays for admin team. And the salary was definitely low compared to other similar jobs.
