It's quite good working in ESIC because the workload is less than the state run medical colleges. Also post graduation has not been started yet in most of the dept, so as a non academic JR there is lots of opportunity to learn and gather experiences as a physician. Though a graduate from MCK, I had almost nil experience in clinical dermatology, but as a JR of ESIC in derma I, gained lots of clinical experiences in that and I'm thankful for that. Recently I'm working as a JR in Anaesthesia dept( Particularly posted in OT) and got the opportunity of acquiring necessary skills needed in Regional and General anesthesia ( like Intubation and Spinal anesthesia). Overall experience is good but as a JR you've to be present there everyday, very less leave (only 2 casual leaves in a month), no Medical leave, no earned leave. So you've to compromise a bit with your personal life and less scope to prepare for PG exams....Read More
