Am I on right path?

Right after my BCom, I took a service advisor role at Honda for ₹7K due to urgency. Later, I moved to a gas station for ₹10K, handling all kinds of work beyond office tasks. My breakthrough came when I joined as an order management specialist in Bangalore for ₹22K. To advance, I self-learned Excel, Power BI, coding, and automation, earning a specialist role. I also completed my MBA in Logistics & Supply Chain online. After four years, my salary reached ₹35K. With management’s support, I transitioned to a procurement specialist role at ₹45K + ₹11K (night shift), later growing to ₹58K + ₹11K by optimizing processes. My work allowed for work life balance, but it depends on who you are reporting to. Saturdays were sometimes working. Its a great place to start out and learn about the policy space. There is opportunity. The timings are not set in stone and there is some flexibility.

Dislikes

They employee most people on a contractual basis and the pay is low. The culture/attitude of superiors can sometimes be demotivating with an attempt to shift blame. For those looking to specifically work on policy research, just a heads up, here ther is more grievance redressal (especially at a Jr. post) and Project Management at Sr. Posts.
