Office politics, Old employees don't want new talented employee to sustain in the company, all the time they poke to the new employee and metal harassment them for unnecessarily. MD and Chairman is thinking about company progress but old fellows don't want to change their mind set, and of course very insecure about their job.

Good work life balance, IJP's exists. HQ at non-metro attacks low rentals. Sat/sun off in HQ. Health insurance (though subsidized only). Variables paid, appraisals happen every year ( though get delayed by a quarter till June).

Dislikes

Slow growth prospects & highly hierarchical co.! Mostly promoters decide promotions hence until you're close to them or have higher reach, expect not to get recognised (at least for manager & above grades). Supervisors take credit of achievements & passes blame for scoldings they get, to the subordinates. Company's culture inculcate poor listening stubborn managers (mostly in every dept), speaks a lot & listens none. Leadership even does this, so develops next-gen poor leaders. High attrition rate makes teams have new manager every appraisal. So will they recommend their high performing reportees or prove self-worth by taking credit of reportees work in front of higher management? HR is aware of the problem that even appraisal meeting between manager & employee do not happen throughout the year and whatever formalities exists, they're on pape alone! Recommendation: if you're a self-starter & wanted to grow & get recognised in the organisation faster for the good work you do, then this is not the place for you. But if you're interested to just pass few years to get a tag of a billion dollar company & move on, then Come, enjoy your salary! Advice: if you're type-II person from the above recommendation, then negotiate hard for your salary. Barodians are preferred & paid well, obviously for stability reasons (they won't leave co. sooner). If you're getting hired from outside location then consider your profile unique & key to the company. Outsiders are paid even well.. HR will play all tactics, you just need to be patient to not fall prey to it (E.g. 30% is std raise, we've a candidate in backup if you don't accept, cost of living is low in Baroda, etc.).
