The benefits of healthcare, retirement and flexible schedule keep me at CSU

Pay is not equal to cost of living (get a 2% cost of living raise when the cost of living goes up 5%) and the raises are rarely given out. So you get your head above water if you are single. ok if you have 2 incomes. Parking is not free to employees. I need to drive to work some days because I go in between foothills and main campus. When I do this I often am transporting supplies that cannot be on public transportation. This means I have no choice but to pay for parking pass and I never can find a parking space. It would be nice to have parking for employees only, students park in the A lots all the time and I am not sure how they get an A pass. I don't think that appreciation is shown to the faculty and staff very much either. We work hard and hardly ever get recognition more than once a year....Read More

Work Details

I love working on a university campus, because there are opportunities to learn new things and focus is on education. So many intelligent people around to have enlightening conversations with. The lab I work in I consider my family.
