I am working as a very senior officer in the general category, which is meant for general operations including Warehousing and Logistics, Procurement and Distribution, Supply Chain Mgmt, Business, HR, Purchase, Liaisoning with Government, Clients etc.

Not much, but it is more procedure oriented and not target oriented. However, it is changing with the times.

The Central Govt. established CWC to save farmers from distress sale of their produce by storing their produce in Warehouse and get loans from banks through Warehouse receipts, a negotiable instrument. It grew into nearly 460 centers of its own besides more than 16 State's governed 100's of centers, offering storage space, on rent, to bulk & small, traders, farmers and individuals besides many other facilities & consultancy services. In order to meet the innovative technical & technological challenges and to equip its Officers & employees, CWC established its own training Cell to impart training besides sending them to external agencies & abroad as well.
