The job has obivious advantage of so called job security associated with a typical government job.

Dislikes

It is not a place to work for someone who aspires career progression. At most you get 2 promotions in entire service tenure that too have differ from zone to zone and category to category. There is no performance linked promotion and you can't imagine of career progression. Sycophancy is prevalent in department. Also now old pensionscheme is scrapped so the age old benefit of pension is also not there. In the middle age, most of the staff becomes frustrated and critical of department....Read More
