A Great place for freshers to start with! You will get guidance of many good expert engineers and I for sure credit any success I have had professionally to the start I have had with Carmatec. You wont get a team there but, you will get a family with no hierarchy and you will love working there. The training you get there, will lay a very strong foundation and you cannot ask for better training at the start of your career. As it is a startup, you cannot expect job security if you dont perform(which is natural) . But performers are treated well and are secure there. Salary is on par with industry and you will not complain....Read More

Dislikes

The company is not yet grown to the extent to give you a lot of career progression in future. After a couple of years, your growth might get stagnant as there are no creamy roles defined. But as the company grows, I am sure it will define roles and many people will find platform to stayback.

I worked at Carmatec IT Solutions from Oct 2007 to Jan 2010, starting as a Junior Systems Administrator and was promoted to Systems Administrator within a year. My experience working at Carmatec was an exciting and memorable one, as I had the good fortune to work with many top talented and experienced Linux System engineers, who got their start at Carmatec, and later moved on to many of the top IT & blue chip firms in India, and abroad. Working at Carmatec helped me personally, by kickstarting my career in IT Infrastructure, Operations and Project Management. The open culture, bonhomie and relaxed atmosphere followed at Carmatec, helped me to learn the fundamentals of Linux systems engineering and be a better Systems Administrator. It also gave me the opportunity to work with multiple Opensource technologies and applications. In addition, I had the opportunity to work closely and interact with a global workforce and vendors while working for Carmatec's international clients, under the leadership and mentoring of the Group CEO, Aromal Rajagopal and present company CEO, Indu Aromal. I would heartily recommend this company as good place to start for a career in System Engineering, Database Administration, Opensource development, IT Service Management....Read More
