As seen from outside, BS is a very reputed organization with a good product i.e. the newspaper that it publish.

Dislikes

Its a typical lala company, sometimes even worse than a lala company. In a lala company, employee has clarity as to whom he is working for and whom to keep happy. BS runs on external funding with no influence of its financiers. As a result revenue generation has never been an objective for BS. Everything is very flexible and too much open ended & usually kept so at will, for the purpose of flexibility to manipulate everything. HR is very very weak. Since BS is in publishing, people work in shifts. Working condition of support staff, working in shifts, is pathetic. There is no clear guidelines of regulations, for everything there is a tug of war. Never ever think of joining BS except for only & only editorial department. Only editorial department is valued and a little mature in BS, otherwise BS will not exist at all. If you seriously want to build a career and do something in life, stay miles away from BS. If you are nonsense loving risk seeking person with no liabilities and plenty of resources to keep your life running, if you belong to a very influential segment of the society, do stop for a while and enjoy a roller coaster ride into full madness at BS....Read More

Work Details

There is a lots & lots of un-necessary re-work. Work is never complete and keeps extending. People in BS do not believe in completing, they believe in elongating and delaying.

Work days: Rotational Shift (Strict Timings)

Work related travel: This is a desk job.
