For starting your career in networking it a good company but to enhance your skills knowledge you need to switch to some other company because here the profile is basically a support engineer profile.

I just resigned from BT after 7yrs and I can say its my best 7yrs in my career.

Dislikes

No dislikes General feedback - if you want a secured job, with good work-life balance then BT is the best company. But you may need to compromise on the yearly salary hike. BT has the best car lease policy in the industry. Learning is ok ok atleast with regards to network design team, not sure about other domains.

No job security. All of a sudden you may receive email for lay offs. No salary hike No promotion if you are not going for a drink with senior managers or if you are not having any kind of relationships with senior managers. Toxic work culture specially in GBA and GCB. Here they always keep you under utilized such that you can give your best. As per their policy, you can change projects after one year in current project. This internal change of projects gives you 15% of hike. Higher management is easily accessible. Limited projects, so if the current project is closed then it will be tough to find projects. But they will give you option to change technology if you are interested, else you have to search outside company.

For a junior it's a very good learning opportunity and for very senior it's settling company, middle level roles its completely on team and managerial hierarchy. Learning is too good Leaves is good Affordable transport

1.Work life balance sometimes gets messed up as u have to work both in UK and india hours 2. Cafeteria in BT india is very bad 3. Few teams have visible politics, as there is less number of job level, and more people within role, competition and ego clashes are a lot . Example 10 years exp and 3 exp will be in same role and designation

Complex structure of the Org. Way too much of Org structure changes within short period of time. Employees are facing difficulty with following company goals as it's always changing with the change of the leadership. Unnecessary timeline pressure.

Good company, if you want to work in MNC culture , no one will bother you. But you will not get promotion or growth here. People are sitting at the same position for more than 10 years now.
