The unique experience of working in a stock exchange and an insiders point of view into the operations is good.

Job security - Excellent

Dislikes

1.Unlike what others think the work life balance is not good. There is excess work and lack of funds to hire new talent. 2. There is no corporate culture (in a bad way) . No proper policies and procedures. 3.there isn't even an induction program for new employees to know the seniors and management. 4. Most vintage employees are unprofessional, incompetent and entitled. They have survived due to the job security . 5. Wouldn't recommend to anyone if this not their first job . 6. No flexibility to WFH even during emergency as they are still working on desktop....Read More

Disappointing Interview Experience with D.E. Shaw

I recently interviewed with D.E. Shaw, and it turned out to be one of the most draining experiences I’ve had. The interviewer’s approach felt unnecessarily harsh and dismissive, which made the entire process uncomfortable. At multiple points, the interviewer asked me to drop off the call, even when I tried asking basic questions about the designation, job description, and other details. After the interview, I found myself sitting there for a few minutes, trying to process what just happened. It left me questioning the overall tone and professionalism of the interview. Definitely not the experience I was expecting from such a well-known firm.
