Great work environment. If you're fun loving person then you're gonna love Amazon's work place culture. Seniors are supportive and management is 90% unbiased (well exceptions are everywhere). Leave policies are good and usually automated especially sick ones so no longer try to convince Manager, however shrinkage is the factor and one must keep that mind. Some managers are so supportive that they are ready to take hit on their metrics to get your work done which is unbelievably awesome. There are lots of IJPs rolled out for in-house promotion, depends on department to department and business requirements. Not much in the name of bonuses, but you get salary hike the way you perform whole year. Everything counts. Strict no extra hours works, if there is requirment you'll be paid double AND it's optional. Do your 9 hours shift (1 hr lunch included) and no one can ask you to work another single minute which is amazing to maintain your work life balance....Read More

Compensation plans need to be worked out, obviously labour is cheap in India but we gotta eat and run a house too. Amazon HR team is too slow and way more busy (like every HR) no exception here l so it takes ages to get your work done or get an information from them. For contractual roles : They need to stop throwing every trained folks back in market after their contracts ends. Keep moderate to best ones so that your training don't go in vain and they also can start or make their career....Read More

The best thing about working in Amazon is the great work life balance. Once you complete your 8 hour of shift, no will force you to do overtime. If you want to do overtime, then the compensation is really very good which is also good thing.

Dislikes

The only thing I dislike was the certain people I worked with. Because of them some time of mine was not at memorable in amazon.
