The idea of working with with the top ecommerce company is in itself a moral boosting experience. Lavish workspace, Inhouse facilities etc with fabish you.

No team spirit. Everyone is working towards their own targets. No collaboration within the team members. Management is unaware of the ground reality or they ignore to look at that, I am not sure. If you have any issues regarding your work you have to solve it on your own. If you address your issues to the manager you will be told that you are hired to solve the problems. Also there is no variety in work. You will just be a recruiter who knows tools and churn out data from various sources. Some of you might like it. Leadership HR are of no use even if you have issues and complain 100 times about your manager they take 0 actions and managers are not scared of HR in-fact they openly ask you to reach out to HR as if they have some kind of connection with them.

The office infrastructure is better than other. However, now a days start up are more fancier than Amazon.

The work culture is declining year over year. Management is focusing on quantity than quality. It is good to have a competitive work culture but there is no recognition no matter how much you give in. The expectation is to work for long working hours without any extra pay.

There are some teams in Amazon which are just a resemblance of hell. They will have rotational shifts and and rotational week offs, apart from these two factors, mandatory nights for 10 days in two months. Due to some morons, for their growth they come up with ridiculous challenges and will torture us for attaining it.

I like the constant micromanagement, bunch of loser managers with no spine to defend their own employees. I also love the ocasional stealing of work of their own employees. Sometimes they lie about their metrics so they will go to any extent to close reports that tell the truth. They scam L8 and L9 by showing wrong numbers and calculating numbers till saturday, ignoring all the pending tickets that might inflate numbers....Read More

You can simply use this company to get better offer from other companies. Donot work here unless you dont have a choice. If you are in Supply Chain, god bless you. The managers in this team keep grudges and make sure you dont get promoted. Too busy promoting their own "Wives" to the management positions, instead of those who worked under them. Behavior is so bad you will rather serve jail time. In short you can ignore these teams of Amazon-IBSC, Supply Chain, Category team,Capacity Planning Team, S&OP, AMZL, AMXL, BOX & FBA team on a whole. If you want real growth in Amazon join IN-Payments team or Cobra team or other tech teams for that matter. Apply IJP ASAP if you are under Aseem Khosla's team or Divya Kapoor or Samaddar Indranil's team. Be extra careful if you are a woman, because these cabins are not safe for you! On a whole Amazon is a great company, it is these teams and departments and a few individuals that you must avoid. Few people have made this place the slum that it is today. Search for these names in phonetool. If your hiring manager is associated with these 3 names that i mentioned, its a huge red flag! Do not join. Money will come later or else play nice for 6 months get an IJP and save yourself. Though its a miracle if you can survive 6 months! Samaddar Indranil keeps asking employees how old they are like a freak! Its not right to ask people's age that too not for casual reasons but for promotions. Aseem Khosla is the go to guy if you are a manager and you want to harass someone. His meticulate planning and experience in workplace harassment is off the charts. Also he is VP's(Abhinav) batchmate at ISB, so he thinks it is his right to harass employees. Divya Kapoor compliments these two with her Patent pending Verbally Abusive skills. Not much growth opportunities and salary is very low for experienced employees which is equivalent to a fresher getting a job for first time. Pay package is way down below here compared to what is a normal or decent pay package in market in current times. Extending work hours is necessary to meet productivity and competition is very high which eventually leads to bad team politics
