I have worked with some really great people who have excellent technical expertise. There are teams where good work culture is maintained. Office is in a mall, lot of fancy shops and restaurants.

Imagine the worst parts of every manager you’ve ever had, rolled into one glorious trainwreck of a human being, who has an ego of a Death Star. This dude couldn’t debug a prod issue but struts around like he’s Silicon Valley’s gift to humanity. A cowardly backstabber who thinks he’s Steve Jobs. He gives out raises and remote work like candy to his loyal minions, expecting them to grovel at his feet. A charming mix of insecurity and favoritism. Picture a guy who’s as two-faced as a coin, but less useful. Hikes and work-from-home perks are reserved exclusively for his personal fan club—the ones who’ve mastered the art of brown-nosing and boot-kissing. It’s less about performance and more about servitude. If you’re not bending over backwards to inflate his already oversized ego, forget about any perks. He’s the micromanagement maestro, obsessing over every minor detail like a boomer on steroids. Not only is he tracking every single leave you take, but he’s also got a whole spreadsheet dedicated to it. And come month-end, he’s right there, spamming your inbox with reminders. Ignore him, and he’ll go ahead and apply the leaves himself. It’s like he’s got this pathological need to control even the smallest aspects of your work life. He’s got a calendar with everyone’s lunch and coffee breaks marked on it, too. In his mind, this is what makes him a ‘good manager.’ It’s like he’s got this desperate need to control every tiny detail, probably because it’s the only thing he can actually handle. Not content with just being an incompetent micromanaging backstabber, he’s also a master of psychological warfare. This genius has a brilliant strategy to ‘motivate’ his team: he loves to crank up the pressure to 11 and then threaten to put people on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) if they don’t dance to his tune. He never throws a party, but boy, does he show up to yours and eat all the expensive stuff. It’s like inviting a black hole to your buffet. He’s that guy who brings a salad to a potluck and leaves with a full plate of prime meat. I have not seen a sadder, frustrated, gossip-queen, mean, spineless, tech-illiterate control freak with the social skills of a wet sock, who thinks fear is a great motivator. its a large company. also we are building products for africa here in india. visibility for the built products may be less and you dont get to know the problems first hand.
