Q. How do you measure current and voltages using a multimeter?

Ans.

To measure current and voltage using a multimeter, follow these steps:

  • Set the multimeter to the appropriate range for the measurement

  • Connect the multimeter leads to the circuit being measured

  • Read the measurement on the multimeter display

  • For measuring current, the multimeter must be connected in series with the circuit

  • For measuring voltage, the multimeter must be connected in parallel with the circuit

Q. What components have you tested, such as amplifiers, filters, DTO, EDLV, and power dividers?

Ans.

Experienced in testing RF components like amplifiers, filters, DTOs, EDLVs, and power dividers for performance and reliability.

  • Amplifiers: Tested linearity and gain compression in RF amplifiers for communication systems.

  • Filters: Evaluated insertion loss and return loss in bandpass and low-pass filters.

  • DTO (Digital Tuning Oscillator): Assessed frequency stability and phase noise performance.

  • EDLV (Electronic Delay Line Variable): Measured delay accuracy and temperature stabilit...read more

Q. What is an oscillator?

Ans.

An oscillator is an electronic circuit that produces a periodic, repetitive waveform.

  • It is used in various electronic devices such as radios, televisions, and computers.

  • It can generate different types of waveforms such as sine, square, and triangle waves.

  • Examples of oscillators include crystal oscillators, LC oscillators, and RC oscillators.

Q. What instruments have you used, especially network analyzers?

Ans.

I have extensive experience using network analyzers for RF testing, including S-parameter measurements and device characterization.

  • Used a Keysight N5247A PNA-X for high-frequency S-parameter measurements.

  • Conducted gain and phase measurements on RF amplifiers using a network analyzer.

  • Performed time-domain reflectometry (TDR) to analyze transmission line integrity.

  • Utilized a Rohde & Schwarz ZVA for multi-port network analysis in complex RF systems.

Q. Which are active and passive components?

Ans.

Active components are capable of providing power to the circuit while passive components do not provide power.

  • Active components are capable of amplifying or generating signals, such as transistors and operational amplifiers.

  • Passive components include resistors, capacitors, and inductors, which do not amplify or generate signals.

  • Active components require a power source to operate, while passive components do not.

  • Active components can be used to control the flow of current in a...read more
