Q1. What is the formula to calculate for safe man hours

Ans.

Safe man hours formula is calculated by multiplying the number of hours worked by the number of workers and the safety factor.

  • Safe man hours = Number of hours worked x Number of workers x Safety factor

  • Safety factor is usually between 0.85 to 0.95 depending on the level of safety measures implemented

  • Example: If 10 workers worked for 8 hours with a safety factor of 0.9, the safe man hours would be 72 (8 x 10 x 0.9)

Q2. What is the ELCB trip timing.

Ans.

ELCB trip timing is the time taken by the device to trip in case of an earth leakage fault.

  • ELCB stands for Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker.

  • The trip timing of ELCB is usually between 0.1 to 0.2 seconds.

  • The trip timing can be adjusted based on the sensitivity required for the circuit.

  • ELCBs are used to protect against electric shock and fire hazards caused by earth leakage faults.
