Barclays is a very good organization. In terms of compensation, job profile and salary.... However there are something has to be addressed regarding the management.

Dislikes

The leaders are used to use their positions and dominate the team members. They don't know how to behave, communicate and values of the employees. Instead of encouraging, advising and educating the new employees, managers are used to speak very harshly, rude behavior, shout at the employees like school or college environment feel like BPO industry not like a corporate bank there's no banking & corporate culture at all. These areas needs to be addressed. Barclays values are RISES - Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence, Stewardship. But i don't feel these are utilizing by the leaders. Team mates are really good. But my manager is not good because his behavior is terrible...

Salary is good but growth is very slow sometimes management doesn't think for older employees like if is person has given

The organisation is highly ethical in hiring and daily conducts. The overall demographics of the company is very young. Equal male female ratio and an inclusive culture prevails here. Company spends a lot on knowledge and skill development of employees. Work culture is almost best in the world. Depending on the team and department, onshore trips are possible. Work pressure is from less to moderate and rarely high.

Dislikes

RBS pays well to outside hires. Internal promotions will not give a good hike in salary. Growth opportunities are less and politics will happen like every organisation. The mechanism for performance appraisals is not very efficient. Earlier postgraduates were hired for critical process, but now only graduates are being hired. This has diluted professionalism and vintage employees feel at disadvantage.

Everything is good in NatWest except the promotions and annual increments.

Dislikes

Disparity in compensation for equal level of people in terms of experience and skills.

Likes

No layoff or salary cut. Work is going on as usual. Employee wellness and engagement is taken care of.

Dislikes

Culture is not very great, some partiality is there.
