Good food is made of good ingredients.
This is the simple philosophy with which we make our products. We believe simple, homely ingredients, minimally processed, are the secret to nutritious, tasty food. So we take premium dry fruits like cashews, almonds and dates, mix them with pure cocoa for taste, and add raw, unadulterated whey for that extra boost of protein - to make these bars.

How Ranveer Singh & Nikunj Biyani Are Turning India’s Snack Habit Into A Protein Revolution
- SuperYou, a protein supplement brand, cofounded by Nikunj Biyani and Ranveer Singh, hopes to fill a gap in India by making protein-rich food and supplements easily accessible and affordable to a wider audience. The Mumbai-based company recently launched protein wafers and has plans to expand into chips, biscuits, granola, oats, and cereals. The startup has accelerated product development and chips and biscuits are expected to hit shelves in the coming month. The brand's protein products are available on various platforms, including its website, Amazon, and Flipkart.
- According to Nikunj Biyani, about 70% of the brand’s sales come from online with quick commerce contributing around 30%. The Mumbai-based startup recently raised Series A funding from Rainmatter Capital to transform India from a protein-deficient to a protein-sufficient country by bringing protein in various edible forms.
- SuperYou aims to create products that are appealing to the masses instead of just bodybuilders or athletes. The company has a presence in over 450 general trade stores across Delhi, Mumbai, and Jaipur. Its presence in trade outlets includes Wellness Forever and Nature's Basket. Besides these outlets, the brand's products are available on vending machines at airports through Dal Chini and on Swiggy Instamart, Zepto, and Blinkit.
- The company designed its protein wafer as a unique product that has the potential to appeal to a much broader audience as it is positioned as a hybrid between chocolate and a protein bar. The brand's focus is to bring more protein-filled snacking options to cater to mass audiences and not restrict it to gym-goers.
- SuperYou aims to make protein consumption easy, fun, and accessible to all with products that are price attractive in addition to developing ads that engage with consumers and create a lasting impression. The company looks to build a strong presence through various channels, including online digital marketing and influencer partnerships with Singh. The startup also engages in offline activities, college activations, and collaborations to raise awareness about its brand and build the protein gap.
- Biyani believes building a brand goes beyond the product and is about the entire experience and the value provided to consumers beyond the product as any product can be copied. The brand plans to innovate more using fermented yeast protein technology. The startup faces challenges related to inventory management and distribution.
- SuperYou's competitors in the health and wellness category include Yogabar, Max Protein, The Whole Truth, and Gladful. However, the brand's biggest competitors include Snickers, which has a massive target audience. Despite challenges, SuperYou has achieved more than 5-lakh customers in just a few months. The startup grossed over INR1.5cr ($206,000) in GMV in the first month of its launch, around INR2.2cr in GMV in January and expects to hit INR8cr ($1.1m) by August or September.
- The brand aims to bring more flavours to the wafer product while also expanding into snacks, breakfast options like granola, oats, cereals with higher protein content to make India protein-rich. The company looks to reach out to the Middle East through Lulu Malls. With the vision of transforming India from a protein-deficient to a protein-sufficient country, can SuperYou become the go-to snacking brand for protein-conscious Indians?
