Pakistani banks sustain growth surge with robust profits in 2024
- In 2024, Pakistani banks recorded strong profits, with a consolidated Profit After Tax (PAT) of Rs594.6 billion, a 5% YoY increase.

High-Balance Account Holders to Pay Monthly Fees at HBL and BOP
- Habib Bank Limited (HBL) and The Bank of Punjab (BOP) have introduced monthly charges for high-balance accounts.
- Accounts with a checking balance of five billion rupees or more will be subject to a monthly fee of six percent.
- Foreign currency accounts will be charged a fee of 3%.
