Headquartered in Chennai, Suryadev Alloys and Power Private Ltd. is one of the largest steel manufacturers in South India with diversified operations in power generation. Suryadev commenced its operations in 2007 by setting up Tamil Nadu's first Greenfield THERMEX steel plant under technical collaboration with Hennigsdorfer Stahl Engineering GmbH, Germany. Within a short span of time, the company's SURYADEV QST RE-BARS became one of the most reliable constructions bars in the market. In 2010, the company expanded its operations by setting up a coal-fired thermal power plant under the group captive model. The 160 MW power plant was commissioned in record time and has the ideal configuration for optimum production.
